The best boutique pickups ever... I should know, I have bought them all! Nice to know you Will!

I am completely amazed at the clarity of these pickups. Will, thanks man. I have used about every pickups out there. From other boutiques to named brands. You have killed the competition. My VTPH's are with me until I die!

For those who know me, I will say this, Will can wind some great sounding pickups.

I have tried lots of pickups in search of true tone...{seymours, dimarzios, rio grandes ,etc} firewaters did just that... they are very clear and articulate.... you can hear every note... oh yeah roll the volume back a little, you'll have a new tone.... my favorites.... vtph.... Will just nailed it.... these pups will take you back in time... all the vintage tone you can stand with a hotter output for more of a modern bite.... the craftsmanship is top notch, but that's what you get when pickups are hand wound... thank you Will, keep up the great work....

What did you do? After spending over $1200 on new pickups from you know who. You send me these Firewaters and now I have to sell those other ones on ebay to get more of yours. Thanks Will! You made me a believer. Now how am I going to tell him that I an no longer using his pickups?

I ordered my second set from XXXXXXXXX. He's over a year wait now and they cost over $500. While I have been waiting, I bought your VTPH's thinking I will try them and then sell them when my others are done. I am now selling my first set the of XXXXXXXXX and pulled my order for the second. Your pickups blew me away. They are the real deal! I am so impressed! These nail the elusive tones I have been searching for!

I have WB's pickups (Firewater's Bridge & Neck, Firewater Bridge & Heaven Neck) in 2 of my guitars, with 2 more soon to be. They are nothing short of Wonderful...in other words, I wonder just how he nailed the tone I was looking for from my lame-ass descriptions! Amazing stuff buddy!

Fantastic!

Thanks Will!

I wanted to let you know that I really like the Heaven & Hell pickups that I recently ordered from you. The harmonics and the overall character of both pickups are superior to the previous pickups. Thank you!

These (Firewaters) are hotter than my P#$%^& Gates I had before. And I really like that. I am a old school kind of guy. I tend to play music from Allman Bros to Santana. Even some EVH at times. These pickups passed the test. Like the rewinds he did, Will nailed the tones I was trying to get with pickups. I wanted some vintage type tones but with more clarity and bite when I wanted to push the amp. A+. I am really happy with these as well as my rewinds. After all these years, I have found my pickups. Thank you Will.

First off, Will is right when he says hand-wound makes a difference. I always thought active pickups were the most sterile sounding of the pickups out there, but this set made the Duncan's seem sterile. These pups have much more character and warmth to them, and that's really makes them shine. Even for a ceramic magnet based bridge pup, it really had warmth. The Hell bridge has a very controllable gain with out the shrill treble response ceramics are notorious for. It also brought a new clarity to the saturated Mesa tone I tend to use. Lead runs really cut through, and the chording sounded like I was using half the gain I had. If there is one thing I'm impressed by most, it's the clarity and solid EQ this pickup provides.

The neck pickup is just what the name says. Heaven. It's a very clear and warm sound, with less gain than the bridge pup, but that's a given. I'm not usually a neck pickup player, but this really made me rethink that. Again the clarity is great. It's very warm, but has a really great bass response to it, and never gets muddy. Ever. When I use the coil split, it actually had a Strat pickup feel to it rather than the usual spike in presence and loss of low end. It even did really well when distorted in humbucking mode because my lower-string notes weren't running all together. It was responsive enough to squeal with pinch harmonics almost as well as the bridge pup, unlike most of the pickup sets I've tried.

These have really become the pickups I'm judging all my others by. I've got quite a collection ranging from a Jazzmaster to Les Pauls, and I've tried almost every major brand of aftermarket pups I can get a hold of. These were my first set of hand-wound pickups, and I don't plan on going back.

Will, we put your pickups up against all of them here at our store. Your pickups blew them all away. Even one of our customers who had some custom boutiques from England that always boasted about them. Said, "Damn, I have got to get these pickups!" And he's local? Thanks Will!

Hello Will, F%^K the haters! They are afraid to admit that your pickups are the sh*t! Especially after they have pimped the other guys for so long. I am jazzed to have your Firewaters!

I intend to put WB pickups on all my guitars, I know whatever sound I want, WB will work with me until we get it right. I have been playing for 40 years and I am completely sold on WB Custom Pickups.
