When the PAFs in a family-heirloom 1958 Les Paul broke down beyond repair, Will Boggs took the opportunity to dissect and research their construction. He studied the corroded pickups and wound a perfect replacement set for his step-father's precious vintage guitar. Today Will owns a set original PAF's from a 1959 ES-335 to use for sound comparisons in developing his own pickups.

WB's Vintage Tuned PAF set packs the growl, sweetness, and tone of the originals that inspired them. Unbalanced coils. Correct enamel wire. Hand-cut real maple wood spacers. Will recommends aged AlNiCo II magnets in the neck and aged AlNiCo V in the bridge but other magnet options are available on request.
