As some of you know I closed the online ordering a little while ago to really concentrate on getting caught on the many orders we received and to be perfectly honest with everyone. It overwhelmed me to say the least. I needed to get caught up and really focus on the future of WB and see how I can stop trying to do almost everything by myself. So….

Slight change in plan to share with you all –

Kevin and I took a hard look at operations and concluded that the logistics required to run sales out of Los Angeles are tougher to tackle than anticipated. There are easily 16+ variations of each stock item!!! (bobbin colors, conductor types and covers), before we get into customized winds. We concluded that the only way to manage that kind of inventory challenge was to keep it closely tied to manufacturing, up here in Redding.

Kevin was a major help consulting me behind the scenes, and he’ll remain part of our family in that capacity. Kevin’s contributions have been invaluable. he will always be part of the WB family and I am sure that somehow be a part of WB in the future

Now that the new shop is up and running, I’m pleased to announce we have been building like a mother..

Along with the customers that have been waiting while we structured the days as to pickup days to build up stock…

Monday we would build VTP Hots only for customers and Stock for the shop. Tuesdays Vintage Hots, Weds would be Hammers and so on.. It’s easier for me to concentrate on building particular models per day than a multiple different pickups and lose track of customers along the way. It happened and it needed to to stop. With a little 2 man shop, and a couple thousand of emails, phone calls along with customer orders weekly, It became a cluster phaq..

For the customers that have been delayed during all this. I thank you for being so wonderful and we appreciate your patience and willingness to wait for the best that I can make for you. I just did not want to slam out a pickup and send it on with out making sure that the quality is the best for you all.

Now, we have current stock available on our most popular configurations of VTPs, VTP-Hots, Habaneros, and Firewaters, all ready to ship but and a big BUT… I am still not ready to open up the online ordering.

Web ordering is being retooled to make sure that each person who orders will be automatically emailed a tracking number when they ship. I want to make sure that our new help that I hired is ready to tackle the day to day operations and to make sure to keep an accurate account of all stock and shippings. I am not going to open this all up until I feel satisfied that it is ready to run smooth. I want to have enough stock that when a order comes in. It goes out within a day or 2. we are planning on making 2 days a week the days that we ship only.

I know that a few of you have been emailing me. Please allow me a few more days to answer them all. Like I said with all the stuff we have been doing. Once done by this week. I will have the time to be more available again..

Like I said, Our apologies for getting a little ahead of ourselves with the earlier announcement. We’re constantly striving to improve, and sometimes great ideas are harder to pull off than we’d like them to be. Our thanks to Kevin, all our friends and all our customers, for their continued support.

 This first round is all clean clips - simple chords, just letting the tone shine through. Same guitar (a great Les Paul), same amp (1967 Sears Silvertone Twin Twelve), and the same onboard camera mic to capture it all. So which one is which? Original PAFs or WBs? The first set are a black set with raw old nickel covers of 67 wire wound a little hotter than they VTP Hots on the bridge. Neck is 7.79K and the Bridge is 9.75K. $450.00

Next is a custom set wound with authentic 50’s emanel wire. The neck is wound at 7.7K and the bridge is 9.6K. Black with raw old nickel covers. $450.00
